One of the applications that HaBC is intended to serve is species distribution and habitat supply modeling (we expect modelers to export the raster layers they need for use in other software packages - we can then add the resulting models as new layers to HaBC for other users).

In order to make sure we include the most important datasets for species distribution and habitat supply modeling I would like to get input from the Habitat Supply Modeling Community of Practice. Please respond to Matt Austion about this what data should be included December 10th?

Please note that two additional layers we intend to add are ruggedness and soils. If people have suggestions on the best sources/approaches to capturing either of those two types of information I am interested in hearing that as well.
